Audio Visual - Mixing Policy

Suntec Singapore does not allow the mixing of AV equipment within the Centre. Mixing is defined as the operation of both external client AV and the Centre’s AV items within the same circuit either audio or visual.

Examples of audio mixing, which is not permitted:

  • The Centre’s console paired with a client’s wired/wireless microphone
  • The Centre’s console paired with a client’s speaker
  • The Centre’s console paired with a client’s CD player

Examples of visual mixing, which is not permitted:

  • The Centre’s projector paired with a client’s switcher
  • The Centre’s projector paired with a client’s projector
  • The Centre’s projector paired with a client’s splitter
  • The Centre’s projector paired with a client’s comfort monitor


Event organisers who wish to engage their own AV concurrently with the Centre’s AV equipment must apply for permission, please submit AP-020A Temporary Loan (AV) Permit.


Permitted examples that are not considered mixing:

  • The Centre’s projector provided with a HDMI or VGA cable paired with organiser’s laptop.
  • The Centre’s audio system provided with an audio jack paired with organiser’s mobile device.
  • Client's audio input into the Centre's mixer for the purpose of obtaining an isolated audio source for live feed or audio recording

Audio and visual are considered 2 separate systems. Therefore, it is acceptable for the organiser to provide audio requirements such as microphones and utilise visual equipment such as projectors provided by the Centre.
