Inflatable balloons are permitted with prior permission and can be used as a fixed feature of an exhibit, event display or signage.  Event organisers must ensure that the balloons are 0.5 metres from the lighting in levels 2 and 3 meeting rooms and 2 metres from the lighting in levels 4 and 6 halls.

Helium balloons can be used as a table display or visual feature. Due to the complexity and cost of retrieving balloons trapped in overhead spaces, event organisers are required to ensure that all balloons are retrieved before the licensed area is handed back to the venue.
